EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE - OLDER ADULTS
Provides older adults tools and information to stay healthy and secure by placing them in temporary paid community service training to prepare them for permanent employment outside the program. Participants train an average of 20 hours a week, and are paid a training stipend that is the highest of federal, state, or local minimum wage directly by SCSEP. The program covers the counties and cities of Alexandria, Arlington, Clarke, Fairfax, Falls Church, Fauquier, Loudoun, Manassas, Manassas Park, Page, Prince William, Rappahannock and Warren.

Organization Description:
Fairfax County Department of Family Services, One-Stop Employment Resource Center offers an integrated portfolio of employment and training programs for targeted populations such as ex-offenders at-risk youth, dislocated workers and under-employed or unemployed workers. Services are delivered and coordinated through one-stop employment centers, locally known as Northern Virginia Career Works Centers.
